Do you hear that shhhhhhh Nature’s calling In the beauty of the mangrove where nature’s wonders thrive We explore and discover a world so alive In the beauty of its roots a sanctuary untold Creatures find their refuge in a place they can behold Stop Please In a world that's full of preservation We must protect each kind with dedication As in every leaf's reflection lies the beauty of our soul's connection

(What is this?) Mangroves Mangroves in the swamp a vital treasure oh why Protecting nature a refuge for all creatures nearby They may seem common they may seem plain but their worth is high Their roots hold secrets a truth so divine oxygen and salt A sanctuary for creatures a love that's intertwined In the face of destruction they're the ones who find a path to survival a beacon for the blind Carbon sinks carbon-rich biomes halophytes A taxonomically diverse group of woody spermatophytes Habitat and refuge for birds fish invertebrates mammals and plants. A filtration system that keeps out much of the salt and a complex root system that holds the mangrove upright in the shifting sediments where land and water meets. Small hairs on the leaves of other species which deflect sunlight and wind . Pound-for-pound mangroves can sequester four times more carbon than terrestrial rainforests can Nurturing our estuaries and fueling our nature-based economies The ability to survive in water-logged and soil-anoxic Shady mangrove in my veins Nature's very own beauty it remains A tsunami a storm may come a hurricane But mangroves stand strong they won't wane Excellent at absorbing and storing carbon from the atmosphere They suck up carbon dioxide from the air to store up in their roots and branches as well as the sediments that collect around them Making them valuable for curbing climate change Grow tall grow strong that's their type you see A haven for creatures a vibrant spree In harmony they thrive that's the key Oh mangroves a smile on natures decree Let's protect mangroves my dear Cause their beauty Isn't it crystal clear Darling let's hold them near Let's make their future bright and clear Now we see the mangroves so divine Lord How they protect our coastal line They hold such ecological power A vital habitat like a blooming flower Now we see the mangroves standing tall Their roots like leather preventing a fall A monastery for quirks to return Preserving nature a lesson we learn and evolve

They are worthy of our admiration Guardians of our coastal foundation Dey play Let's spare no effort in their conservation For they rock the ecosystem halloo a true sensation Protect them from harm if we may Preserve their wonders come what may Do all never let them fade away And their importance let's not betray Create buffer zones around shrimp ponds Plant emerging islands with mangroves it'll be fun Protect freshwater inflow to mangrove estuaries Manage timber harvesting and institute site-specific mangrove forest management economies Let's stand together hand in hand protecting nature's precious strand Oh darling Let us take a stand For mangroves let's lend a helping hand
